On June 24, 2010, Saint Petersburg hosted a test drive of the renewed Opel Astra 2010 model for General Motors’ corporate clients.
The presentation of the new car took place in The Baltic Star (Baltiyskaya Zvezda) hotel in the suburbs of Saint Petersburg (Strelna). Guests had the honor of being the first people to discover the unique advantages and new functions of the car. At a certain point in the presentation, an official test drive was offered, which allowed guests to put all the new information into practice. The test-drive route showcased places in the city that were connected to the maritime fame of the Northern Capital: the passenger port Marine Façade (Morskoy Fasad), Krasin, an ice-breaker ship, and the Flying Dutchman (Letuchiy Gollandets) ship. Participants passed four check points at which they were given unique and engaging tasks with paints, ice sculptures and telescopes. GLOBAL POINT designers presented the new Opel Astra model as a guiding star that always provides comfort and confidence on the road.
